The shield bug is a common sight in the UK. Seeing them as often as I do, it was inevitably going to be added to the collection.
This Silver Shield Bug Necklace is handcrafted to bring a modern and minimalist approach to a natural form. Each piece is made entirely by hand, ensuring a flat, sleek design that stands out for its simplicity and elegance.
Each element of the shield bug is shaped from scratch using traditional silversmithing techniques from sheet silver and wire, carefully cut and formed to create a distinctive geometric style that adds a touch of nature to any outfit. The minimalist design highlights the intricate, clean lines, making this pendant a perfect statement piece for the nature lover.
Our gold version is finished with a 24ct yellow gold vermeil.
Supplied on an 18 inch chain.
Each piece is individually hand-made by Jenny in Hampshire, England. There are no moulds, no assembly of pre-made parts.

All silver used is sterling silver (925) with some Argentium (935) and fine silver (999).
Where items are finished in Gold Vermeil, a thick plate of real gold is bonded to the finished silver item. Yellow gold is at 24ct purity and rose gold is at 18ct purity. Learn more about gold vermeil here.
